Rumphi Teachers SACCO has increased its profit from 116 million in 2023 to 132 million in 2024 representing 13.79% increment.
Speaking to Rumphi FM Rumphi teachers SACCO Board Chairperson Tenpex Mkandawire says despite the economic challenges that the country is facing, they have still managed to make profits due to diligent performance by the management. Which has helped in building trust among members, as they get assisted accordingly each and every time they want to access loans.
Mkandawire added that, they have also awarded two people with bicycles each for being outstanding in savings and bringing more members to SACCO as a means of motivating them to save more.
Commenting on the matter one of the Members who received the award as best saving member of the year William Luhanga expressed his satisfaction saying that since he joined SACCO he has never experienced hunger at his family as he is able to buy farm inputs at the right time.
Meanwhile, Raymond Khonya Director of Administration and Human Resource at Rumphi district council who represented the District commissioner appreciated Rumphi Teachers SACCO saying that their services to people aid economic development and helps to eradicate poverty in the community.
