FOBEC URGES YOUTHS TO SET GOALS AND CONDEMNED ACT OF COMMITING SUICIDE AS A SOLUTION IN RUMPHI DISTRICT.

For Better Change Organisation (FOBEC) in Rumphi district has urged young people to have goals in life and condemned the act of commiting suicide as a solution to a problem.

The Programs Manager for FOBEC Mackson Nguluwe made the remarks during an awareness campaign for mental health at Buwira in the district, where they also distributed clothes that were collected from well wishers under the initiative called kuthandiza osowa (helping the needy).

Commenting on the matter Chairperson for Buwira Youth club Benjamin Luhanga says the information received will assist them to make reasonable decisions whenever faced with any challenges and suicide is not an option.

FOBEC is conducting a mental health awareness campaign in the district and other activities lined up for the month of April are entertainment shows that will take place at YONECO on 12 April 2025 and Rumphi Youth Resource Center on 21 April 2025.
